La Residence is a beautiful property. We arrived on Sunday night and were greeted by a fabulous wine reception and attentive customer service. After a long drive we needed to relax and unwind and we were able to do that after only a few minutes here. All of the guests at the reception seemed very happy and easy to get to know. The breakfast each morning is delicious and the chef even came out to talk with us and see how we liked it. The manager was very kind throughout our stay, arranging for wine tours and all of our dinner reservations. The bedroom was so comfortable we didn't want to leave. Great shower and tub, fireplace and flat screen TV! When we did get out tasting we realized that we were minutes from all of our favorite wineries and walking distance to a great Italian restaurant down the street. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet romantic getaway in Napa, it is the perfect location with great customer service. Be sure to check out the Mansion building...we loved it. Well worth the trip!!!
Pros: Great location, complimentary breakfast and wine hour, great beds, peaceful grounds, great service
Cons: Pool isn't open year round

We stayed at La Residence for 4 nites and it was the perfect stay. Large room, 2 sets of French doors opening to deck with lots of sunlight. Hosts pay such attention to the detail of the inn - great wine tatsings and hors d'oeuvres every nite, high end clientele, but no attitude. Linens were great and towels were soft and fluffy. The property is beautiful. I have never been so sad leaving a vacation spot.

La residence is our new favorite place to stay when visiting Napa. The rooms and grounds are clean and carefully tended, and elegantly idyllic. The pools and fountains give a magical, restful touch. The staff really cares about its guests (they have been running this B&B for 16 years, making improvements over time). It has one of the best breakfasts and cocktail hours of any B&B I have seen, anywhere. Every evening there is a wine tasting and discussion, usually presented by a local winery, with homemade food plates. At 23 rooms it is large enough to be a small inn, and thereby avoids the "guest in someone else's house" feeling with some B&Bs. The honor bar with top level local wines is a nice touch. Warning: no TV.
Pros: Great service, Beautiful grounds, Good value
